Optimist Theatre

The joy of creation …

The point of living and of being an optimist, is to be foolish enough to believe the best is yet to come.

– Peter Ustinov (1921 – 2004)

The freedom of invention …

The American, by nature, is optimistic. He is experimental, an inventor and a builder who builds best when called upon to build greatly.

– John F. Kennedy (1917 – 1963)

The need for expression …

There is only one optimist. He has been here since man has been on this earth, and that is “man” himself. If we hadn’t had such a magnificent optimism to carry us through all these things, we wouldn’t be here. We have survived it on our optimism.

– Edward Steichen

A great read-through last night. There do not seem to be any weak links in our cast of 22! I can’t wait to get on my feet and really start playing w/ all these wonderful actors.
